Benefitting Family Health La Clinica

In partnership with Rotarians around the globe, we are creating a more peaceful world through humanitarian service. Ranging from a worldwide campaign to eradicate polio to local projects, Rotarians are improving the health, well-being and overall quality of life by partnering with reputable people and organizations who share this passion.
In central Wisconsin, the lack of basic health care for migrant farm workers spawned the formation of a community health center in the 1960s to ensure that this workforce and their families had access to basic care. Today. Family Health La Clinica (FHLC) serves people throughout 10 central Wisconsin counties regardless of their economic status. The need for FHLC’s services has expanded beyond migrant farm workers to include people from all occupations who do not have access to the healthcare they need. Many families are struggling to make ends meet. The cost and availability of diapers, basic hygiene, healthy food, and medical supplies are a significant burden for many working families. Giving families access to these basic supplies helps them to be healthier and be productive in school or work.
Changemakers Rotary Club is raising funds to help supply personal hygiene and medical supplies for people in need. People who cannot afford basic hygiene or medical supplies have increased risk to develop chronic disease and perform poorly at work and school. Those conditions are an obstacle to being productive self-supporting members of our communities. Helping our neighbors in need is part of strong communities and healthy economies.
Your support for this fundraising drive will make the difference for a child, a family, or a migrant worker to live a healthy happy life. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide the medical, dental and therapy professionals at FHLC with supplies for the clients they serve.

Changemakers Rotary is raising $10,000 to supply children and families served by Family Health La Clinica (FHLC) with the following items.
BASIC NEEDS
Children
Infant/ Toddler - Basics
o Diapers – Sizes 5 and up run out first at retailers.
o Pullups – Help parents with potty training and help children feel confident.
Teenagers
o Basic hygiene kits- especially girls hygiene products.
Medical
Blood glucose monitors and strips for patients who do not have insurance and can improve their health through monitoring.
Access
Food cards for fresh fruits and veggies.
Gas cards to help get families to appointments.
Phone cards for clients that have trac phones and need funds to communicate with FHLC about care and treatment.
